SLOW DOWN

Picking up an issue of “good housekeeping” to return back to the library, she paused for a moment, thought, and spoke to herself,” hey, have I read this issue that I am going to return”. The answer was ‘no’ and the reason was that she hardly had any time from an entire week for doing her most favourite activity. This made her wait for a minute and think about many such things that were left as they were. Like many a times –

She got to see the newspaper at 10 pm in the night.

Is not able to reply to her best friend’s emails on time,

Have more than 10 sms in the inbox that are unread,

Is not able to talk to the family for half an hour too,

Don’t last remember when did she had a leisure look in the mirror for 5 whole minutes,

Was surprised to see the length of her hair when once on a sunday she let it loose,

Is not able to keep her eyes fully open at night post 11pm,

Often pops up the question during her occasional gathering with the family “ hey , when did this happen” or “ what are you guys talking about”

Has three novels that she managed only the mid way and then left it incomplete,

Not to mention she has almost forgotten what is a television !!!!

If this is what life is and if this is what the price have to be paid for being independent, busy and active, she guessed the price is way too high and there is practically no life at all. Gradually she understood there is much more to the life than just running and rushing and pushing oneself too hard. There is a need to slow down, only then one can enjoy life. Because if you don’t notice the life while running, one thing is for sure, life is gonna treat you the same way and shall not notice you at all !!!

So this is for all you guys over there, specially the girls or women ( cause they have responsibility of house and work, both) to slow down, enjoy and notice life. :)

@ viraj

circumstances force us to live in a certain way but when some of us can make way out of it to get happiness and peace why cant all ??
