NOT READY TO SETTLE FOR LESS

Don’t ask for occasional laughter
But a lasting happiness

Don’t ask for short romances
But the one for a life time

Don’t ask for expensive clothes to cover me
But a warm hug form the one who truly loves me

Don’t ask for a palatial abode, for I would get lost in it
But a pair of honest eyes where in would love to get lost gazing into.

Don’t ask to hurry up
Cause I m not ready to settle for less

well i suppose we start with one step at a time.. when you dont look for romance, you wont find love... we are not always successful when you try to cross the finish line in a leap :-)

@ raaji

i understand your perspective but what i meant was something that lasted for ever , even though it starts with a short romance, it should continue. it shouldnt break and then the next one and then the next.. :)

Hi,
Well, people feel miserable with the slightest of setbacks that they reconcile to 'give me atleast occasional laughter, if not lasting happiness; give me short romances, if not one for a life time;...'
Well written. Keep them coming.
Cheers,
Salil

liked it really and it has a lot of meaning, too often we agree to have something less because we dont have hope that something greater might come our way, thats the reason for all regrets.

@ salil

yaa but these occasional things and occasional happiness remains for a very short time and then we are back in our our world, which is a sad thing..... thanks for apprecaition:)

Doubt if any other verse that can better explain the desire of heart...still gasping at power of your romantic imaginations penned down for your reader. Am sure going subscribe regularly to your posts... great work
