A MOMENT IN THE VERANDAH

With little light emerging from the room, the verandah that was not lit showed quite a good light. She was standing there. Dressed in a bottle green coloured kurta with ¾ sleeves and a little lighter shade of chudidar. This dress suited her small frame the most and gave her a little taller look, exactly just what she required. The way her hair was tied in a very neat pony tail with a matching rubber band (just as always) gave her a very professional look. She wore flat sandals of white colour that mainly exposed her extremely beautiful feet painted with the red nail paint. This is the most beautiful feet I have ever seen, thought Sahil.

Probably she was busy with her cell phone, as her head was down. So Sahil thought not to disturb her and keopt watching her quietly. she did not sense him coming at all. Finally he managed, “Why are you standing here, Shikha?, come inside, all are waiting for you” He looked deep inside her eyes (he always did that while speaking to her) and all she could find was pure and unconditional love and respect for her. But this was not what she was looking for from the person that was standing before her. Sahil never found the love for him in her eyes. She knew that he was aware that there was no love in her eyes for him just as She was aware that Naren never showed love in his eyes for her. This is what always amused her and this is the thing for which she could never get any answer. “I am coming in a minute” was all she said to him.
